Moisés is a young entrepreneur with a strong desire to succeed. He is 22 years old, and married with two children. He has a ninth grade education and has had an auto body and painting workshop for nine years. There, he provides work to his father and a brother. Currently, he has a good clientele because his work is of very good quality and they work all day to ensure that deliveries are very fast. In order to purchase materials for his work, he travels to the city, a 20 minute bus ride. There, he makes purchases at a hardware store since they give him a good price and offer good quality materials.

The loan he is requesting is to purchase tubes and canvas to make a mobile canopy, which will serve as a gallery so that he can work more comfortably. The canopy will serve as protection from the sun, and he a will be able to move it anywhere to do his work during the hours when the sun is hottest. So, his income will be higher and he will be able to provide a better life to his family. He is planning to save and work very hard to purchase land and build his house since they live in a rented home.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of a project to help young men and women in El Salvador (under age 26) launch their own businesses. The field partner is reducing the guarantee for these individuals, who normally would not have access to loans due to their lack of experience. Unemployment for young people is high in El Salvador, a fact that motivates many of them to leave the country instead of searching for work. Aside from access to financing, clients will also be grouped together according to their business types to receive training from CrediCampo's social development unit, and to share advice and support with one another.
