A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a dairy cow.

Misael De Jesús's story

Misael is 27 years old and thanks to the support of his mother, she was able to provide him with an education through the first year of his baccalaureate. Then, due to economic conditions, he was unable to continue his studies and he decided to work. His wife works in the home. He lives with his wife and their 2-year-old son.

He works in agricultural services. His friend was doing this type of work in the region in which he lives and introduced him to the business. Misael says that after 3 years working for his employer, he eventually got work as a salesman. He works from Monday to Saturday. He gets up early in the mornings because he works 35 kilometers (21 miles) from home and he returns each night. He does this routine every day. On weekends or on his days off in the winter, he works in agriculture. Sometimes he needs to pay for workers to help him harvest the crops. Additionally, he raises cattle.

He is seeking a loan from Fundación Campo to buy a dairy cow. His dream is to continue working and to buy land on which to build a home. He also dreams to buy another cow.
