A loan of $375 helped to buy construction materials and a sewing machine.

San Felipe De Jesus's story

Felipe de Jesús is forty-eight years old. He lives together with his wife in the district of Pucará, located about two hours from the city of Jaén in the northern mountain area of Peru. Many people in this area make a living farming and harvesting fruits and rice.

He offers construction services, like laying bricks, filling in cement bases, plastering, and other tasks. He is well-known in the area and he works in his district and other nearby towns. Felipe and his family are strong in the work that they do, and they have a workshop in their home where Felipe's wife makes a living sewing clothing.

Felipe has requested a loan of 1,000 soles to invest in construction materials. He also hopes to buy a sewing machine. These goods will help his family to generate more income and to be able to improve their quality of life.
