A loan of $900 helped to build a pig farm.

Felipe's story

Felipe, age 47, lives with his wife and their two minor children in the rural area of Oyotun. Its population devotes itself to growing cotton, rice, and fruit; commerce; and livestock. It is two hours from the city of Chiclayo on the northern coast of Peru.

Together with his wife, he raise and sells animals; turkeys, ducks, and chickens. His business is located in the area behind his house. He says that he has been engaged in this business activity ever since they got married. Thanks to the income, they have been able to finish building their house.

He has requested a loan for 2,500 soles to build a pig farm and to buy the pigs. This way he will have greater income for his family.
