A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase a computerized embroidery machine.

Takhmina's story

Takhmina is a 22 year-old seamstress living in the city of Konibodom. She is married to Azim, and they have a three-year-old son. Azim is a contractor and takes orders to repair apartments. Takhmina is involved in sewing at home and sews women's national dresses. Her husband helps her. He uses his own car to bring purchased fabrics from the city of Khujand and takes her completed dresses to a market for sale. Takhmina has been involved in this business for the last three years. She has a very old sewing machine that causes inconveniences for her work. Currently, she is requesting this loan to purchase a computerized embroidery machine. Takhmina wants to expand her business and sew not only ordinary dresses, but make beautiful embroideries on them. Obviously, these dresses will cost more than ordinary ones, and her income will increase.
