A loan of $525 helped to increase the amount of merchandise in her store.

Lucia's story

Lucia is 36 years old, a single mother of two children; Maribel, who is 18, and Yubiley, who is 7 years old. Both are still students. She works full-time serving in her food store. Since she migrated from the town where she was born to the city, she decided to open this business in order to support her two children, and to cover school, food and healthcare expenses. She has had her business for seven years, in which time Lucia has gained experience and carried out her work very happily. She likes everything about her shop, the only bad thing is that she cannot spend as much time with her children as she would like to. Lucia wants her children to study and to move to a big city, where they can have a better future. With the money from the loan she will fill her store with more merchandise, so that she can increase her future income.
