A loan of $1,125 helped to buy a crushing machine for recycling metals.

Taj Muhammad's story

Taj Muhammad is 45 years old and is living with his eight children in Lahore, Pakistan. His job is to buy old electronic accessory parts such as televisions, radios, motherboards, etc. for getting metallic parts such as copper, aluminum, silver, etc.

After crushing the electronic components; he separates and sorts the metals according to the category. After categorizing them, he puts the metals in a high temperature machine for melting; after melting the metals he pours it into the dies to give it a block shape. After manufacturing the metal blocks, he sell it into the market and gets a profit.

Recently, his crushing machine broke which is very costly and beyond his purchasing capacity. Therefore, Taj Muhammad requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so that he can buy a crushing machine.

He is very hopeful that this loan will prove productive and beneficial for his enterprise. He thanks Kiva, Kiva lenders and his field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
