A loan of $1,800 helped a member to purchase super quality feed.

Babi Rahayu Group's story

The Babi Rahayu group receives their new loan. The group expected an increased amount for the loan, but after an evaluation from MUK’s staff, the group still received the same loan amount.

Ni Ketut is the head of the group. She already has two sows and she will use her portion of the loan to purchase only super quality feed. She must protect the health of her sows. Ni Ketut is a piglet seller in her village. One sow can bear 8 – 12 piglets. She hopes the sows can birth safely and the piglets can grow healthy. She sells the piglets for fattening or pig rolls. She has a plan to save all the profit and use it for business capital later.

In the meeting, one of the members couldn’t attend because they had a religious ceremony at the Temple.
