A loan helped a member to pay for the construction of a hygienic toilet and a hand-washing device with soap.

Group 9 - Vĩnh Lập 01's story

Ms. Hue, 31, works in agricultural production with a monthly income of approximately VND 700,000. She is married with two little children. She has been a member of the Women's Union since 2008.

Her family is currently using a double-pit latrine which is now degraded and is a health risk for her family members, her community, and the environment.

With a portion of this loan, she will be able to build a hygienic septic tank latrine and a hand-washing device with soap.

Those facilities would also help her family improve their health, living conditions, and safety, particularly at night and during rainstorms, in addition to providing convenience, cleanliness, and privacy for all family members, while contributing to the environmental health of the community.

In the picture, Ms. Hue is standing in the front row, first from the left.
