A loan of $1,125 helped purchase of cacao and coffee for resale.

Ama's story

Ama S. is 38 years old. She is married with five children. She lives in Apéyémé, a village on the Danyi plateau, about 170 kilometers from the Togolese capital of Lomé. Each season, she buys tropical products like coffee and cacao, which she sells to exporters. With this new loan, she wishes to greatly increase her stocks. Her profits being directly linked to the volume of her sales, she expects to benefit greatly from this opportunity Kiva has given her. This will allow her to pay off her debt promptly and improve her quality of life.
