Madafu Group's story

Asha is a single woman and a mother of one boy who is in school. Asha, who is in her early 30's, has been running a mamalishe (small café) business for one year. She is doing great with her business. Asha works at her business from 6 AM to 4 PM and is able to win a fair monthly return.

From Kiva partner Tujijenge Tanzania, this is her first loan request which she will use to buy more food supplies like beans, maize flour, and baking flour for her mamalishe. Asha dreams of owning a hotel in the future.

She will share this loan with her loan group, Madafu, which totals four members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
