Chelsea Group's story

Aisha, who is in her early 50s, is married with four grown children. She is also living with her six grandchildren, who are in school.

For twelve years now, Aisha has been managing her family by running a grocery business selling local brews (chibuku), spirits, beers, sodas, juices, and water. She works from 6 a.m. to midnight and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her third loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. Aisha used her previous loans to restock her grocery with more drinks than before. She has paid back all her previous loans in full.

Aisha used her profit to build one room for her family and to cover household and school expenses. She is so proud with Tujijenge's loans because now days she is able to cover home costs and school fees for her grandkids without difficulty. Aisha is dreaming of improving her life more with a nice house having electricity and a better education for her grandkids. She will use this loan to buy more stocks of grocery drinks.

Aisha and her loan group" CHELSEA" with seven members will share this loan and hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
