Los Angeles Del Floron 7 (Portoviejo) Group's story

In an area known as El Florón in the city of Portoviejo, the members of the lending group Los Ángeles del Florón 7 meet every 15 days. They have various businesses like general commerce, agriculture, service provision and other things. This is their first loan, which they hope to use to propel their businesses forward and thus improve their quality of life, for the wellbeing of their families.

One of the members of the group is Flor, 48, who is married and has four children ages 24, 19, 18 and 17. The youngest is in high school, and three of them still live at home. Her husband works occasionally. Flor is a determined woman who likes to work to earn her own money and use that to support her family since her husband doesn't earn enough when he works. She works in a restaurant 4 days a week, earning a weekly salary, but her boss gives her the space to use to sell her own food on the other three days of the week, keeping the profits. She cooks breakfasts and lunches there. She has been doing this for 10 years in order to support her family.

This loan is to buy the provisions necessary to make the meals that she sells. This is her first cycle with the lending group and she likes it because her loan arrived quickly. Her dream for her children to be good people and become professionals.
