Marcella's story

Marcella arrived in the United States from the Bahamas 27 years ago, determined to create and build something on her own. It wasn’t until 2007, after 18 years of studying fashion and working in the fashion industry, that Marcella stumbled upon a bright idea.

She noticed that existing Christian-based clothing lines neglected to offer their designs in a wide range of languages. Mishenere (pronounced “missionary”, Marcella’s clothing line, offers a resolution to this void in the fashion industry. Marcella creates inspirational T-shirts, available in a variety of different languages, that spread the message of hope. Her shirts are a hit. Earlier this year, she debuted some new designs at a local conference in Miami, Florida and earned tons of praise and new clientele.

Now, with your help, Marcella can take Mishenere to the next level. With this loan, Marcella can begin developing a professional e-commerce website, purchase new equipment to make her shirts, and purchase office equipment so that she can manage sales and track inventory.

Help Marcella build her website and put Mishenere on the online fashion map.
