A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase two heifers to fatten and raise.

José Leonardo's story

José, 59, lives with his wife who is engaged in domestic chores. He has two children who live with him as the others are already married. He also has grandchildren living with him.

José has been making his living from agriculture since he was 10 years old. He learned how to do this work through his father instilling it in him since his childhood. José also is a day laborer. His work is a half an hour from home. He travels on foot with his son who helps him in the fields.

The loan he is requesting is to buy two heifers to fatten and raise them productively. He wants to improve his living conditions and have more income in the future.

He hopes that the two heifers he buys will develop well and that he will have a future source of income for himself and his family.
