Lamin's story

Meet Lamin, he is 38-year-old from the Masuba, Makeni Northern area in Sierra Leone. He is married with 2 children. In 2003, Lamin established his electrical business. He was a diamond miner. He began his business because his wife told him to join her in trading. Mohamed works at the business from 8:00am until 7:00pm, 7 days per week. He says that the main challenge to his business is transportation difficulty. Lamin requires a loan in order to purchase more electrical supplies such as extension cords and electronic items for resale. He hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow him take care of his family's welfare and increase his business. In the future, Lamin plans to expand his business to a higher level.
