A loan of $850 helped purchasing dried fruits for processing and sale.

Olima's story

Olima Z. is 43 years old. She is a widow with five children. When her husband passed away, she was left without any steady income. Supporting this large family on her own was very difficult. Struggling against the difficult life, Olima learned to process dried fruits and clingstone apricots 9 years ago. The business went along successfully after it started.

Thanks to this activity she has been able to open a grocery store near her house where her daughter sells foodstuffs. Her elder son left for Russia two years ago to try to earn some money. Every month he sends his mother on average US$ 200.

Today Olima is requesting a loan of 2900 Somoni (850 USD) with a term of 8 months. She hopes to use the loan to purchase more dried fruits due to great demand from her customers. Olima and her children are sincerely grateful for your support.
