A loan of $525 helped to buy goods (fresh and dried food).

Marie Conception's story

Marie Conception is a 44-year old woman, who is single and mother to five children, whose ages range from three to 19 years old. Two of her children still go to school. Marie has been a trader in one of the capital's markets for the past seven years and has a stall on which she sells fresh and dried food (tomatoes, potatoes, vegetables, groundnut, etc.). Her business is going well, but she often faces the problem of a shortage of stock. She would really like to expand her business in order to respond on a timely basis to the demands of her ever-increasing customer base. It is for this reason she is getting a loan. The profits she makes as a result of the loan will be partly reinvested in the business and partly to take care of her family.
