Sanniquellie, Liberia / Restaurant

A loan of $225 helped to purchase more rice, palm oil, vita, pepper, meat, fish, etc. for her business.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 33 years old and lives in Sanniquellie, the capital city of Nimba County, which is rich in nature resources, has much better living conditions than the capital city, and is the second most populace county in Liberia. She did not attend school, and she has lived all of her life in a rural area. Traditionally, she is married, and her husband is a farmer. They both have five children. Her children are between 12 to 16 years old. With a little money from her mother, she was able to establish her business. For twelve years, she has been running a cook shop (local restaurant), where she sells rice and soup. She spends 9 hours on her business, and faces no other problems except for a shortage of goods in stock. She is requesting a loan to purchase more rice, palm oil, vita, pepper, meat, fish, etc. for her business. Her plan is to one day move from a cook shop business to a modern restaurant business. She thanks the lenders for their support.
