María Milagro
María, 35 years old, works very hard despite the death of her life partner. She still manages to overcome the obstacles life puts in her path. She lives alone with her three children, aged 8, 11, and 13. They go to school in the area and help her with small agricultural tasks. María takes care of her household and also grows broad beans on a plot of land of 7,000 square metres. Her children help her with this task. She learned agriculture from her parents and became an expert thanks to her life partner. With the loan, María will be able to hire people to help with the harvest, since the weather is very rainy and it would be risky to leave the produce in the open for much longer. María wants to keep being a farmer, and she appreciates her children's help. However, she also wishes for them to become university graduates.
