Rina's story

Rina lives in the small town of Madhyapara in Dhupguri in the district of Jalpaiguri. She is a 28-year-old housewife and blessed with two children. Her husband Tahidul, 28 years old, sells betel nuts, which are used as a mouth freshener. They live in their own Kaccha (mud and straw made) house. Both Rina and her husband are illiterate and can only sign their names. None of their children goes to school. They are below the school-going age.

Rina chose BJS for this loan because she wants to purchase a cow and she hopes to earn a profit from this business since there is a great demand for dairy products in her locality and in the present market.
