After having properly repaid their previous loans, the women of the Parana group are on their seventh solidarity (group) loan. Kotimi, the woman all the way on the right in the photo, intends to use her loan to buy 20 litres of oil, one 100-kg bag of rice, 2 kg of smoked fish, 20 kg of onions, 10 packets of Maggi cubes, vegetables, and chili peppers. She gets her supplies in Kimparana and makes her sales to a clientele comprising men and women, in cash and often on credit.
She foresees realizing an average monthly profit of 35,000 FCFA, which will be used to pay for expenses relating to health, food, clothing, and school fees, with the rest being reinvested in her business.
Les femmes du groupe PARANA ont en moyenne 45 ans, 6 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies à KIMPARANA dans le cercle de SAN dans la quatrième région administrative de la république du Mali.
Ces femmes se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté et font les activités d’achat et de vente de produits alimentaires et des articles divers.
Après avoir correctement remboursés les prêts précédents, les femmes du groupe PARANA sont à leur 7 eme prêt solidaire. KOTIMI 1ere femme à droite sur la photo compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter 20 litres d’huile, un sac de 100kgs de riz, deux kg de poissons fumés, vingt kg d’oignons, 10 paquets de cube Maggi et des légumes et des piments. Elle s’approvisionne à KIMPARANA. Elle effectue ses ventes, à une clientèle composée de femmes et d’hommes en espèce et souvent à crédit.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 35 000FCFA qui sera utilisé dans les dépenses relatives à la santé, à la nourriture, et l’habillement, aux frais scolaires et le reste sera réinvesti dans les activités.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
