A loan of $775 helped to purchase chickens and feed for them.

Norma Milagros's story

Norma is part of the credit group El Arenal. She likes this type of loan because of the solidarity and togetherness of the group, and at the same time, the loans benefit her small business. She lives in the parish of Baños in Cuenca, where the volcano emits thermal water, which makes the pools very enjoyable. There are a variety of places to enjoy and its cuisine is varied.

Norma is 32 years old, married, and has three children who are 2, 14, and 16 years old. Her two older children are studying in high school. Her husband works in construction. They do not have their own house, so they live in a relative's home. Norma works taking care of the household and helps her husband with the household expenses by raising chickens and cleaning houses.

She will use this loan to invest in the purchase of chickens and feed for them. Her goal is to have a larger chicken coop.
