A loan of $250 helped to pay for spare parts and the maintenance of their tricycle unit.

Marites's story

Marites is thankful for the financial assistance extended to her, as she was able to buy the spare parts and accessories for her tricycle. She has had this business for four years now. Her loan was also helpful in the education of her children. Her income from business, on the other hand, supported their everyday household expenditures. Aside from her tricycle, she also has a direct-selling business for additional income.

She would like to apply for another 10,000 PHP loan to buy spare parts and for the maintenance of their tricycle. Her profits from her business will definitely help her to sustain their daily needs and her children's education. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Marites dreams to have an additional tricycle and hopes that her children will finish their studies. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members every week to share stories of her life and business and to find strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
