Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $250 helped to buy balanced animal feed.

Reyner's story

Reyner is 36 years old. He lives with his wife and two children in the District of Oyotun, a community that is known for agriculture, trade, and livestock breeding. This area is located two hours from the city of Chiclayo, which is on the northern coast of Peru.

For the past 10 years, Reyner and his family have been raising and selling small animals. They are well-known in their area for the work that they perform. Reyner is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 700 PEN so that he can buy balanced feed. This will result in better production so that he can offer animals to his customers and generate more income for his family.
