A loan of $1,225 helped to buy agricultural materials to help her coffee crops.

Maria's story

María is a 28 year old woman. She is the mother of three children who are in the community school. With her husband, who is a farmer, they grow coffee to sell and generate income for the family and corn and beans for consumption. The coffee that they grow is catimora and lempira, which are in excellent condition and almost ready for the next season. They require the purchase of materials to help them and to prepare for the harvest and sale. With their family they live very humbly in their house built from unplastered blocks, panels of wood and a zinc sheeting roof. They own it and thank God for having a home and worthy shelter. Their coffee crops are close to their house and with her husband she walks there to do the clearing and the weed maintenance.

Right now, she is asking for a loan from the COMIXMUL cooperative to improve her coffee production by buying the materials she needs for maintenance and care. She hopes that she will be helped with her request since this is the only income for her family so that they can make their dreams come true of helping the children in their education and creating solid assets for their future. This way, she will be satisfied and pay off her loan on time, with the commitment of being able to keep enjoying the benefits and other services.
