A loan of $1,900 helped a member buy stock such as sports shoes, leather footwear and sandals for her shoe stall.

G.s. Bendicion De Dios Group's story

There are seven members in the Bendición de Dios Group. They are responsible mothers and fathers who are raising five children between them. They are from El Sauce in the north of the country. The group is known for its hard work, responsibility, and desire to get ahead. In their free time they enjoy being with their children. They were not able to attend school as they had to work from a young age.

Carla is the coordinator of the group as she is energetic and keen to make progress. She earns her living selling shoes in the streets and from her house. She spends about eight hours a day at work selling sandals, shoes, runners, children's shoes, and leather footwear. Carla needs a loan so she can buy more stock and earn more money in the not too distant future.

The Bendición de Dios Group is grateful to Kiva donors who give the chance of a better life to poor people in poor countries like Nicaragua.
