A loan of $825 helped to buy calves.

Chynarkan's story

Chynarkan is 41 and married and raising three children. She has a high school education and works in animal husbandry as the primary source of income for her family, a business she started 20 years ago with the purchase of cattle for 10,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, her holdings now include three milk cows, three calves and 22 sheep, with a monthly income of 10,000 KGS. Chynarkan is the leader and one of three members of the group Takhmina.

With the goal of further developing her business, Chynarkan has turned to microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 40,000 KGS to purchase calves to increase her number of livestock. She plans to invest profits from the loan into further augmentation of her herd, and to save toward a family car.
