Harriet's story

Harriet is 47 years old, and she lives in the town of Lugazi in Uganda. She is married, with two children, both in school.

For the past 20 years, Harriet has been working hard to manage her clothing & tailoring business, which deals in clothing.

To help expand her business, Harriet has requested a loan of UGX 2,000,000 from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy machines for more tailoring work. It will help Harriet to generate greater profits and live a good life.

Harriet hopes that in the future, she will be able to Increase income levels.

Harriet is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Harriet who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
