Tahir's story

Tahir is 50 years of age. He is a married person. He is also an IDP (internally displaced person) and lives with his family in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. Tahir is a Fuzulu refugee.

He has been growing vegetables and fruits for more than 18 years. He is very hardworking and passionate about his work. He considers it fun to grow potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers and to plant fruit trees with his wife. He sells his crops in the central bazaar to make profits, in order to support his family. Tahir’s income from this business is 130 AZN [Azerbaijani New Manat].

In order to improve the living conditions of his family, he plans to expand his business. This requires a lot of dedication and effort. He believes that, in the near future, his sons will help him to grow the business. Since the vegetable and fruit business is profitable and fun, he wants the business to continue and prosper. He has applied to Aqroinvest for a loan of 1,900 AZN. This loan is for the purpose of buying new fertilizer and seeds. It will help him to grow more vegetables and fruits in order to obtain more revenue in the coming winter, which will help him to cover his family’s needs.
