Anarkan's story

Anarkan is 55 years old, married, and raising four children together with her husband. Anarkan has secondary education. As a main source of income for her family, Anarkan works with livestock breeding, after having started 18 years ago with the purchase of livestock for 2,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Anarkan's persistent work, her farm currently has eight dairy cows, six calves, 20 sheep, two heifers, seven bulls and five goats. The monthly income is 15,000 som (KGS). With an aim to further develop her business, Anarkan turned to the microfinance bank "Bai Tushum & Partners" for a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of cows to increase the number of livestock. Anarkan plans to invest the income from the loan in further increasing the number of household animals, and also plans to save money for purchasing a house.
