Alejandro's story

Alejandro is 45 years old and lives with his wife in the rural district of Cayalti. His town is known for the cultivation of sugar cane and rice, trade, and livestock breeding. This community is two hours away from the city of Chiclayo, which is on the northern coast of Peru.

Alejandro grows and sells alfalfa and corn husks, which he delivers to the neighboring villages in his community. He is requesting a loan of 4,000 PEN so that he can buy a new motorcycle taxi. The one he has is 10 years old and in need of costly repairs. This will enable him to continue working and generating income for his family.
