Flor Maria's story

Flor Maria is 28 years old, and lives together with her husband and daughters in the district of Cayalti, whose population makes a living through the cultivation of rice, yuccas, and corn. Cayalti is two hours from the city of Chiclayo on the northern coast of Peru.

Flor Maria and her husband have a small bodega in their home. They are a family who struggles greatly to have a better quality of life. Her husband works in construction as a master builder in the hamlets that border their community.

She has requested a loan of 3,000 nuevos soles to buy groceries to supply her business and in this way earn more income for her family.
