A loan of $725 helped to buy groceries for his store -- milk, beans, and rice.

Cristino's story

Cristino is 67 years old. He lives with his wife and children in the district of Salique, where the people raise livestock and work in commerce. It is located two hours from the city of Jaén, in the northern mountains of Peru.

Together with his wife, he has a stand where he sells prepared foods. They are known in the area for the good flavor of each dish that they offer. Their business is located in the center of their community. In one part of their stand, they sell groceries.

He has applied for a loan of 2000 PEN to expand his grocery store, buying rice, milk, and beans [to sell] and thus generating greater income for his family.
