A loan of $125 helped to buy products such as toys and accessories like necklaces and bracelets for sale.

Rosa's story

Rosa is 37 and is married to Ronald. They have 4 children together and live with them in their own home. Rosa runs a travelling business and sells goods in front of a school in her neighbourhood. She sells items such as toys, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and fashion accessories, especially for girls. She goes out each day looking for a school where she can sell her good-quality and novel products. She has been doing this work for over 3 years. She works alone and comments that at first she experienced difficulties such as not knowing how to get customers. Now she is good at her job and is improving daily. She likes her job because it allows her some spare time to use as she wants.

This is Rosa's fourth Kiva loan and she is very happy knowing that she has an economic support to keep her investment going. For this reason, she has promised to be punctual with her loan repayments. She intends to use the loan of 300 soles to buy goods such as toys and accessories like necklaces and bracelets for sale.
