A loan of $125 helped to buy goods such as toys, necklaces and bracelets.

Ana's story

Ana is 38 and is a good, kind woman. She is the mother of three children, although at the moment she is living with only two of them, in her own house. Her work consists of selling different products as a street vendor. She sells items such as toys, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other accessories, especially items for girls. She goes out each day looking for customers to offer her good-quality, original products. She has been doing this work for more than 4 years. She works alone, and although she is now more prepared for her work, she comments that when she started off she encountered a lot of difficulties, as she didn’t know which strategies to use to appeal to her customer base. Now she is very good at what she does, and she is constantly improving each day. This is Ana’s sixth Kiva loan, and she is grateful for the financial support that she has received to keep going. In addition, she promises to make punctual repayments. She will use the loan of 300 soles to buy goods such as toys, necklaces, bracelets and other accessories to sell.
