A loan of $750 helped to remodel his food stall.

Jacinto Eustacio's story

Jacinto, 51, is married to Gladys. They live in a modest, simple, loving home typical of families from Santo Domingo. They live in San Cristóbal-Vallehermoso, a rural parish of Santo Domingo, Ecuador. This farming area has a warm, humid climate and a variety of tourist sites.

Jacinto and Gladys have four children: two daughters, ages 22 and 19, and two sons, ages 18 and 16. The children finished elementary school, thanks to their parents' effort and dedication. They now attend high school with their parent's support and live in Santo Domingo because school is located there, not because they have forgotten their parents, whom they visit each weekend.

Jacinto and his wife want to remodel their food stall to attract more customers and, therefore, have applied for this loan. Jacinto's wife prepares the food with care, love, and dedication. Their customers are grateful and say the food is delicious and varied. Jacinto and Gladys thank Fundación Alternativa of Ecuador and Kiva for making their personal and business growth possible.
