Bibirajab, age 48, works as a seamstress and lives in the Fayzabad district, just a few kilometers away from the capital city. She is married and the mother of four children. She makes a living offering sewing services, a profession which is in very high demand. She sews a couple of dresses every day (mostly traditional Tajik dresses for women). Since she started in this business five years ago, she has acquired some regular customers who are always pleased with her work.

Bibirajab now wants to expand her activity and improve her family's living conditions, which is the reason why she is taking a loan of 3,000 USD. She will use her loan, in part, to buy an electronic sewing machine and, with the rest of the money, she will perform some repairs at home, in order to be ready for the winter. She truly hopes to receive some support!
