A loan of $825 helped to buy merchandise for his shop.

Moussa's story

Mr. Moussa, age 33, is married with 3 children. He lives with his wife and children in the district of Torakabougou, in Bougouni. He attended school up to the secondary level then quit to begin income-generating activities such as the sale of shop products, which he learned from his uncle.

With 7 years of experience, he has a good command of his activity. His shop is located in Bougouni, in the district of Torakabougou where he lives.

To strengthen his activity, he is seeking a new loan from Soro Yiriwaso to buy 2 bags of sugar, 3 cartons of cigarettes, 50 packets of candy and 3 cartons of tea. This is his 3rd loan cycle with the MFI, and both past loans were repaid without incident.

He buys his stock in Bamako, the capital of the Republic of Mali, and sometimes in Bougouni. His clientele consists of locals.

He expects to earn a monthly profit of 60,000 FCFA, which he will use to support himself, to pay the loan interest and to expand his shop.
