A loan of $1,275 helped to build animal enclosures for keeping pigs.

Daniel's story

Daniel is 62 years old and lives with his wife in the rural area of Cayalti, two hours from the city of Chiclayo on Peru's north coast. Its inhabitants raise sugar cane and rice, and engage in commerce and livestock-raising.

He and his wife raise and sell small animals such as pigs, turkeys, chickens and ducks. His business is located in the area behind his home.

He has requested a loan of 3500 nuevos soles to build animal enclosures for keeping pigs. This is in order to have better production to offer his customers, and generate additional income for his family.
