Sayda Melania's story

Sayda is 33 years old, married, and has one child who is a minor. She is originally from El Sauce, located in the north of the country. El Sauce is known as an area that produces milk, cream, and cuajada cheese. Sayda is an enterprising, hard-working and responsible woman, with moral integrity, and above all, a desire to excel. Her biggest dream is to give her child the education for a professional career. Unfortunately, she was not able to study due to a lack of economic resources.

Thanks to her efforts and her desire to succeed, she has a small grocery store that sells items such as rice, beans, sugar, milk, bread, eggs, detergent, salt, drinks, matches, and oil, in small quantities. She runs this business for 12 hours daily, selling her products so that she might obtain higher earnings in a not-too-distant future.

Sayda is grateful for the support that Kiva investors provide to people with limited resources and poor countries such as Nicaragua,so that people can earn a decent living.
