Ushindi Ii Group

A loan of $3,900 helped a member to increase his capital and buy a large quantity of rice, beans and clothes to sell in order to earn more.

Ushindi Ii Group's story

Emmanuel is a member of the Ushindi II group and lives in Bujumbura. He is 42 years old and married to Donathe. Together they have two children aged four and seven, who are both in school. Emmanuel also looks after a student, who is a member of his extended family, and his aunt.

Emmanuel has been selling dry goods and clothes for 16 years. This is his fifth loan from Turame. With his Kiva loan, he will increase his capital and buy a large quantity of rice, beans and clothes to resell in order to earn more. In the next few years, he would like to build a house from durable materials and see his children study.
