Reyna Isabel
View original language description ↓
Reyna is 32 years old. She lives in the Lomas del Memorial Sandino neighborhood. She came to live in this neighborhood when she was young and it is here that she met her husband. They had two children, now ages 2 and 14. Her husband works and supports the family. Reyna has a "fritanga", which is a small food stand where she sells traditional Nicaraguan fried foods. She also sells tortillas. She has been in this business for 9 years and so far she has been able to get ahead with her family. She sells her food in the afternoon and the tortillas in the morning. It's hard work but it's profitable.

The loan that she is requesting will be used to purchase beams and zinc sheets to make repairs to her home. The roof is in bad shape and she cannot continue to risk her family's safety.
