Phoem is 48 years old. She is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She receives support from her children. Two of her children are employed. They are a driver and a garment worker. They earn about $9 each day. Due to the difficulty with her family’s transportation, Phoem is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase will help her children easily get to work and reduce transportation expenses. In the future, she would like to purchase farmland for growing rice and help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
