A loan of $375 helped to buy fuel to stock her business.

Sara's story

Sara is 29 years old and lives with her son in the rural zone of Oyotun where the people earn their living from growing cotton, corn, and yuca, general business, and livestock. It is two hours from the city of Chiclayo, on the northern coast of Peru.

Together with her family they earn their livelihood from selling fuel and are the only ones in the area who supply their customers. Her husband works in agriculture. Sara has asked for a loan of 1,000 Nuevos Soles to invest in the purchase of more fuel because demand is increasing, and if she sells more, she will generate more income for her family.
