A loan of $625 helped to buy 2 cows in order to improve her milk production.

Sonia Liseth's story

Sonia is a 40 year old married woman. She has 7 years of education thanks to the efforts of her parents for both financial and moral support despite the difficulties during her youth. She has been working in agricultural and cattle for 3 years as her parents work in the same fields. In her family working the land and with livestock is a tradition and the only means of income for strengthening the household finances.

She is the mother of 4 children who live with them and there are also 2 nephews living with them during holidays and vacation as they are students. She is also a trader as she has a small store selling dairy products which are produced by them.

The land that she cultivates and works and also has her cows is her own obtained thanks to an inheritance from her parents and partly through a purchase. It is located 4 kilometers from her home and the trip is made by vehicle at the same time as they transport the raw material.

Her dreams are to have a farm, to have quality cattle and to be able to be one of the best producers of milk in the area. As a mother she dreams of seeing her children become professionals with university degrees that help their growth and development to work in any field of work they might be held responsible for.

So she is asking today for a loan in order to begin to strengthen her dream with which she will buy 2 milk cows improving her livestock and the amount of product she can obtain through the purchase.
