Deborah's story

Deborah is 38 years old and lives in the Kakata area; she’s married to a taxi driver. They have two children, ages 17 and 20; both live at home and the youngest one is attending school.

Since 2001, Deborah has been running her own shop selling rubber dishes such as plates, tubs, buckets, pans, bowls, among others. She makes a wide range of profit. Deborah sells from Monday to Saturday spending ten hours per day on her business. Deborah stated that she started this business by selling for her mother.

Deborah has requested this loan to purchase more rubber dishes to increase her range of sales.

The main problem she faces is the need to repair and maintain her shop from criminals entering at night.

She described herself as very strong and hard working woman. She wants to open another shop, and will use the profits to send her children to university.
