Kigwati Group's story

The Kigwati Group consists of ten women and six men, and in the photo the member Emmanuel is represented by his wife Concilie.

Espérance is the leader of the Kigwati Group and lives in Rumonge. She is 35 and is married to Gérard. Together they have five children aged two to 14 years old, four of whom are studying. She has been a merchant of sorghum beer and bananas for the past 13 years.

This is her first loan with Turame. With the loan she receives from KIVA, Espérance plans to increase her capital and buy a lot of bananas and a large quantity of sorghum to prepare two types of beer, which she will sell to earn more income. In the coming years, Espérance would like to begin farming potatoes and beans. She also wants to see her children study.
