Shamim's story

Shamim is a 38-year-old married woman; she is the mother of four children. She has been embroidering by hand at home for many years to support her family. In fact, her husband's income is low. For the sake of her children and to meet household expenses she started embroidering at home. A distributor provides her all raw materials for making embroidery; she completes her tasks, along with her daughters, over a wooden frame.

Shamim also wants to sells embroidery in her town so that she can earn more income for her family. She has become expert in her art and wants to buy supplies so that she can sell her handmade embroidery in her hometown. Therefore, she has requested a loan to buy her own raw materials, such as sequins, pearls, spools, and silky threads, so that she can embroider more dresses to sell and can increase her family's income.

Shamim hopes to get a boost in her earnings through her large sales. She wishes to utilize a portion of her revenue to provide a quality education for her children.
