Astrida, who is in her early 40s, is married with five children, four boys and one girl who are in school. For eight years now, she has been managing her home expenses by running a stationery business where she sells books, pens, printing paper,and also making photocopies, design cards for weddings and other printing services. She starts working from 7:00 am and works till 10:00 pm per work day and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her twelfth loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. With the previous loans, all of which were paid back successfully, she purchased more printing paper, pens, books and bought a new photocopy machine. Astrida used her profit to cover school fees and part of the family's food expenses and improved her home kitchen with new oven. Astrida will use this loan to buy more out-of-stock books and pens to resell. She dreams of improving her lifestyle.

She will share this loan with her loan group "CHICAGO" which consist of four members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
